Winter Weather Revision
EL PASO- West Texas and Southern New Mexico will see a shift in this winter's weather forecast.
Previous winter predictions suggested that Texas/New Mexico and much of the Southern United States would have a wetter and cooler winter due to a strong El Niño.
El Niño is the phrase given to shifting winter storms associated with the development of warmer, Eastern Pacific water along the South American coast.
A newly released update to that forecast has El Niño much weaker than previously forecasted and for drought stricken Texans, that means less than normal precipitation levels through February.
