This week in NMSU athletics

The New Mexico State baseball team hits the road this week with two non-conference games and three WAC games. The Aggies take on I-25 rival New Mexico, Wednesday, April 17 at 6 p.m. in Albuquerque, N.M. for a mid-week game. NM State then heads to Ruston, La., for a three-game conference series with Louisiana Tech. Game one of the series is Friday, April 19 at 5 p.m., game two is Saturday, April 20 at 2 p.m. and the series finale is set for Sunday, April 21 at 12 p.m. There is a non-conference game set for 3 p.m. that same day. All five games this week are scheduled to air on the radio at KSNM AM 570 with Jeff Matthews.

Equestrian
The New Mexico State equestrian team heads out to Waco, Texas, Thursday, April 18 through Saturday, April 20 for the 2013 National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championship at the Extraco Events Center. The NM State Hunter Seat team was seeded No. 11 and faces SMU in the first round, while the Western team was seeded No. 12 and takes on South Carolina.

Softball
The NM State softball team heads back out on the road to meet the Texas State Bobcats on Friday April 19 and Saturday, April 20, in San Marcos, Texas. The teams open the series with a doubleheader on Friday at 3 p.m., and close out the weekend with a single game on Saturday at 12 p.m.

Track and Field
The Aggie track and field team travels to Waco, Texas, for the Michael Johnson Classic on Saturday, April 20.
