U.S. Men Take Basketball Gold Again

The biggest and final test for this year's version of the Dream Team was Spain and the game remained tight throughout but the Americans pulled away late to win 107-100.

Team USA only lead by one at the half and took the lead for good late in the third quarter with a three from Kevin Durant to put them up 83-80. Durant would lead all scorers with 30.

There were number of clutch performers in the final quarter including Chris Paul who scored 8 of his 11 points in crunch time.

LeBron James finished with 19 points and became the first player since Michael Jordan in 1992 to accomplish a rare basketball grand slam; Olympic gold, NBA Championship and regular season and finals MVP awards, all in one year. The U.S. repeats as Olympic gold medalist.
