
For the second time in the last three years, the San Francisco Giants are World Champions. They completed a four game sweep of Detroit on Sunday with a 4-3 win in 10 innings.
Marco Scutaro singled with two outs in the tenth to drive in Ryan Theriot with the game winner.
San Francisco ends the season with a seven game win streak. Trailing St. Louis 3-1 in the National League Championship Series, the Giants took three from the Cardinals to win the pennant then added four straight against the Tigers for the World Series title.
Pabo Sandoval was the Series Most Valuable Player.
