After a bye week that saw the Sun City Reapers defeat the Alamogordo DesertDawgs 20-10, the El Paso Raiders are ready for action once again, now just two wins away from the city's first semi-professional championship.

This Sunday, at Socorro ISD's Student Activities Complex, the Pecos Division regular season champion Raiders (4-3) again take on the Reapers (3-3). The winner of this game takes on the winner of the NM Wolfpack / NM Titans game from Saturday. The Wolfpack defeated Curry County 17-0.

The Titans are aiming for a third straight NMPFL Championship and trying to keep their undefeated streak of 42 wins intact. Meanwhile, the Raiders enter the playoffs for the third straight year and their first as Pecos Division Champs. This year marks the Reapers' first appearance in the NMPFL playoffs.

In their regular-season matchup, the Raiders overcame a sluggish start to beat the Reapers 27-14, extending their win streak over their Sun City rivals to two games.

The Raiders staff and players will be hitting the practice field this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 745 to 945 on Fort Bliss at the YMCA's Carrington Field, just off Cassidy Road.

Media availability for coaches and players will be Wednesday and Thursday, anytime during scheduled practice times.
