Quintanilla Designated for Assignment by Mets

Omar Quintanilla spent nearly two months in the majors, not too shabby. Today though, Quintanilla, the former Socorro Bulldog and Texas Longhorn, was designated for assignment by the New York Mets to make room for Outfielder Jason Bay.
Quintanilla was hitting .257 with one home run and four RBIs in 29 games with 13 runs scored.
