Okagbare Claims 2nd Fastest Time in Women's 100M

Former UTEP Miner Blessing Okagbare ran a personal best today at the Olympic Stadium in London, running 10.93, second fastest only to American Carmelita Jeter at the XXX Olympics. Okagbare has advanced to tomorrow's Semifinals along with 23 other runners. Okagbare, who runs for Nigeria, is the reigning Olympic Bronze Medalist in the Long Jump. Teammate and former UTEP Miner Oludamola Osayomi ran the 29th best 100M time, and did not advance out of the prelims. Here is a look at the top runners and some notables:
