NMSU Men's Basketball to Hold Crimson and White Scrimmage

Monday, October 8, 2012 - 3:12pm

With the first day of official basketball practices quickly approaching, the New Mexico State men's basketball team is holding a Crimson and White scrimmage, Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. inside the Pan American Center.

The event is free and open to the public, and it will be the community's first chance to see the defending WAC Tournament Champions, before the Aggies host Western New Mexico, Nov. 5, in the only exhibition game of the preseason.

The Aggies return seven players from the 2011-12 squad that finished with a 26-10 overall record and made the 19th NCAA Tournament appearance in school history.

The scrimmage is just one of many events during Homecoming Week that is capped off with the football game against Louisiana Tech at 6 p.m. at Aggie Memorial Stadium.
