Saturday, September 4: Several former UTEP Football players have been cut by their respective NFL teams today on the final day of roster cuts by NFL teams. They are:

Cut: OL Robbie Felix by the Jets, CB Cornelius Brown by the Bears, Safety Da'Mon Cromartie-Smith by the Steelers, Safety Quintin Demps by the Eagles.

It looks like Raiders Linebacker Thomas Howard and Johnnie Lee Higgins survived the cut, along with Ravens OL Oniel Cousins, all former UTEP Miners. Cousins is suffering from concussion symptoms suffered two weeks ago, while Jordan Palmer figures to make the cut in Cincinnati. No word yet on Eagles Long Snapper Jon Dorenbos, but he's figured to make the cut as well. Packers Wide Receiver Jeff Moturi was released from injured reserve back on August 19 after a knee injury early in training camp.
