ARLINGTON, TX - The Dallas Cowboy are breathing a little easier knowing the kicking game isn't the questionmark they worried it might be.

After being limited to kickoffs as a rookie last season, David Bueler proved to coaches he can handle placekicks, connecting on attempts from 51, 45, 40, and the game winner from 31-yards out to put the Cowboys on top of the Miami Dolphins 27-25 in the preseason finale for both teams.

Dallas head coach Wade Phillips decided earlier in the week he would sit most of the starters tonight in the finale leading to Stephen McGee getting the start at quarterback.

Though rookie receiver Dez Bryant wanted to play tonight after suffering from a severe ankle sprain, owner Jerry Jones put a stop to that. Bryant did not play.

The Cowboys will open their season next Sunday in the Nation's Capitol against the Red Skins.
