A record number of college football scouts were in El Paso Friday for the 3rd Greater El Paso Football Senior Showcase Combine. Thirty-one scouts from Division II, DIII, and NAIA schools were at the Student Activities Complex to evaluate and potentially offer scholarships to over 240 senior football players.

Players who took the ACT or SAT were eligible to participate. In the first two years of the combine, 51 scholarships totaling over $5 million have been offered as a direct result of the combine.

Saturday, the Senior All-Stars will suit up for one final time for the Senior Showcase Classic at the Sun Bowl. Kickoff set for 1pm.
