Montwood Reaches State 7on7 Quarterfinals

The Montwood Rams became the second El Paso team in as many years to reach the Texas State 7-on-7 Passing Tournament Saturday before falling to Arlington Bowie 28-14.

The Rams went undefeated in pool play, a perfect 3-0, on Friday before beating Duncanville 27-14 in the first game of the Championship Bracket. Riverside made it to the round of 8 last season.

Coronado, the only other El Paso representative, fell to Lufkin 40-26 in the first game of the Consolation Bracket.
