Kimaiyo Earns Third C-USA Athlete of the Week Honor

Risper Kimaiyo earns her third Conference USA Athlete of the Week honor this season announced the league on Tuesday.
The All-American clocked in a season-best time of 17:17.79 at the Cowboy Jamboree in the women’s 5K race. The senior took second place overall in a race that featured 127 competitors. The distance runner led the women’s team to a seventh-place finish. This is Kimaiyo’s 14th career C-USA Athlete of the Week honor as a Miner.
UTEP will have a week off to prepare for Pre-Nationals on Oct. 13 in Louisville, Ky.
