Juarez Hosting Pan American Volleyball Cup

The USA National Volleyball Team is one of 12 teams competing at the Pan Am Volleball Cup in Juarez. The USA team went 4-1 through pool play, tied with Cuba and the Domincan Republic. Through a tiebreaker, USA was awarded the winner of Group A, and will join the winner of Group B, Brazil, in Thursday's semifinals. Here is Wednesday's quarterfinal schedule:

Quarterfinals - Wednesday
6pm: Cuba vs Argentina
8pm: Peru vs Dom. Republic

Semifinals - Thursday
6pm/8pm - vs USA/Brazil
 

According to the USA Volleyball website, The Pan American Cup serves as a qualification tournament into the 2013 FIVB World Grand Prix, which the U.S. has won each of the past three years. The top four teams from NORCECA, plus the top team from South America other than Brazil, will qualify for the 2013 FIVB World Grand Prix.
