Fairacres wins again at Little League Southwest Regionals

Fairacres All-Stars, representing New Mexico, was impressive once again at the Little League Southwest Regionals in Waco, Texas beating Oklahoma 12-2 Sunday. The team of 12-year olds are the first Little League team from Las Cruces in 40 years and are making the most of their return outscoring their first two opponents 23-3. They now sit tied for first place in their pool with a record of 2-0.

They will next face Colorado (1-1) Monday at 4pm at Norcross Stadium. With a win, Fairacres would advance to the Regional Semifinals Tuesday. The Regional Champion advances to represent the Southwest at the Little League World Series August 15th in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
