The Diablos and Grand Prairie AirHogs played to a 9-9 tie through nine innings before a pre-determined time limit came into effect. The game will continue at 5:05 p.m. (4:05 MST) on Saturday.
The recent mosquito infestation in the Dallas-Fort Worth area prompted city officials to schedule an aerial spray to combat the problem. The spray forced organizers to set a "curfew" for the game before action got underway.
The AirHogs lead into the ninth inning but El Paso tied the score on a sacrifice fly from Zane Chavez. Grand Prairie had rallied from a 7-1 deficit to take a one run lead entering the final frame.
