El Paso, TX (KDBC) — Once again, Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys have proved that winning isn't always a prerequisite for cashing in.
The Cowboys haven't won a Super Bowl since 1996, or even made a playoff game since 2009, but that hasn't stopped the franchise from making big bucks. According to Forbes, the Cowboys value has increased 36% from last year to now sit at $3.2 billion dollars...a $900 million dollar increase from 2013.
No other team has breached the $3-billion dollar mark in the history of the league. The closest competitor is New England at $2.6 billion dollars.
The Cowboys are the most valued team in the NFL, and second-most valued team in the world behind Spain's Real Madrid soccer club.
They also have the highest revenue and operating cost in the league...clearly Jerry Jones is doing something right.
