Fresno defeated El Paso for the second straight night Saturday, as the Grizzlies beat the Chihuahuas 7-4. The Chihuahuas let an early 3-0 lead slip away when Fresno scored three runs each in the fourth and fifth innings. Grizzlies starting pitcher Michael Kickham held the Chihuahuas to two earned runs in 6.1 innings of work.

Jeff Francoeur went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Chihuahuas. The other seven El Paso hits were scattered throughout the lineup, as Francoeur was the only Chihuahua with a multi-hit game. Jonathan Galvez went 1-for-5 with an RBI and is now 6-for-12 with five RBIs in the series.

One night after being acquired by the San Diego Padres in the Huston Street trade, infielder Taylor Lindsey went 0-for-1 after entering the game in a late double switch. San Diego second baseman Jedd Gyorko went 1-for-4 with a single in his first Major League injury rehab start with El Paso.

The loss dropped El Paso to nine games out of first place with 43 games to play. The Chihuahuas remain in second place by themselves in the Southern Division, chasing Las Vegas.
