The top team in the city and two district leaders were winners Friday night. First year head coach Peter Morales and the Coronado T-Birds remained in first place in district 1-5A defeating El Dorado 36-35. Cathedral, meanwhile, welcomed in Mayfield from Las Cruces and never trailed winning 45-36. Speaking of Las Cruces, the Bulldawgs remain undefeated in District 3-5A beating Alamogordo on the road tonight 71-52 to hold on to the top ranking in the State of New Mexico.
