It is a Father's Day tradition in El Paso. Basketball in the Barrio is back in El Paso. The three day camp gives kids of all ages a chance to hone their skills on the court. More than just basketball, participants recieve learning sessions, art classes, as well as a talk from a guest speaker.

Former UTEP and New Mexico State assistant basketball coach Rus Bradburd started the program back in 1994 as a tribute to former boxer Rocky Galarza. 100 boys and girls from area elementary schools learn life skills through basketball for only one dollar.
