El Paso, TX — New Mexico State gave Arizona something to think about, but the number one ranked Wildcats overcame a sluggish start to post a 74-48 lead.
New Mexico State, with the help of Daniel Mullings game high 18 points, took an early 10-5 lead before Arizona rallied. Brandon Ashley scored 15 while Kaleb Tarczewski added 14 for Arizona to lead 32-24 at the half.
The Wildcats would shoot a sizzling 52 per cent from the field for the game and ended the second half with an 18-5 scoring run to make the final score seem very lopsided.
Arizona dominated most of the stats, out rebounding NSMU 38-22 while the Wildcat bench outscored the Aggies bench, 17-7.
It's the fourth straight loss for the 7-5 Aggies with a pair of tough road games in the next five days playing at both Drake and New Mexico.
