Aggies "Play4Kay" against San Jose State Thursday

Kay Yow, former North Carolina State University head women's basketball coach, was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987, and passed away on January 24, 2009, after facing her third bout with the disease.

As part of a nationwide awareness initiative, the NM State Aggies will honor breast cancer survivors and victims by wearing the color pink during Thursday's game against San Jose State. The Aggies are encouraging all NM State fans to wear pink in support as well.

This Week: NM State looks to break the losing streak with the first two games of a four-game home stand beginning with San Jose State on Thursday, Feb. 14. The team then meets Utah State to finish the week on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Pan American Center.

Tickets: Tickets are $6 for Adults and as always, kids 12 and under are FREE. A group rate of $4 is available. Call the NM State ticket office at 575-646-1420.

Over the Airwaves: The Aggie Sports Network is producing 15 games on KSNM AM 570 this season, along with any contests in the post season with Jay Sanderson giving the play-by-play.

Each of the Aggies road games along with those home games not aired on AggieVision will be available through KSNM. All games aired on radio are produced by the Aggie Sports Network on KSNM AM 570 in Las Cruces. The broadcasts can also be heard from anywhere around the world on the Internet by logging onto www.NMStateSports.com. Just click on the live events link to access the coverage for a fee.

THE LOOKS
Looking Ahead: NM State gets comfortable at home for the final two home games of the 2012-13 season as it plays host to the final non-conference opponent of the season, CSU Bakersfield on Feb. 23 at 4 p.m. A week later, the Aggies close out the home portion of the schedule against Denver on March 2, at 6:30 p.m.

Looking Back: The Aggies went 0-2 during two road games this past week. Falling 72-53 to Idaho on Thursday, Feb. 7, and 78-62 to Seattle U on Saturday. The team still saw senior Stefanie Gilbreath lead with 21 points and eight rebounds in Moscow, Idaho, and 15 points at Seattle. Sophomore Danesia Williamson picked up her game over the weekend with 12 and 13 points in the two games, respectively.

AGGIE COUNTRY
About the Aggies: NM State continues WAC play with a 9-14 overall record and 3-10 in league play. Going into the weekend with nine straight losses, the Aggies are looking for a comeback when they get back to their home court for four games. The Aggies held their longest win streak of the season around Thanksgiving when they won four in a row at home, but fell into a seven-game slump during the middle part of conference play.

Road to Vegas: NM State enters this week's home stand with a 3-10 record in conference play. After winning three of its first four WAC encounters, NM State has lost its last nine conference games, including going 0-2 during their most recent road swing
