AFGHANISTAN— A new audio message was aired with what appears to be Osama Bin Laden's voice warning the French people.
The new message, released by Al Jazeera, is reportedly Bin Laden warning the French to withdraw from Afghanistan in exchange for the release of French hostages. The voice-recording also said President Nicolas Sarkozy's refusal to withdraw the French troops will also cost him and his country dearly.
Five French citizens were among seven foreigners that were kidnapped in Niger, Africa, in September. Al Qaeda's North Africa wing claimed responsibility for the kidnappings. Reports also said at least two other French citizens are being held in Afghanistan.
