Santa Fe, NM (KDBC) — If you live in New Mexico and you're behind on your child support payments it's your lucky day. The state is offering temporary amnesty.
That means you can pay a bond to avoid being arrested for not not paying child support.
However, you only have until August 29th to pay up. After that police will start a sweep for people with arrest warrants.
In Dona Ana County more than 70 parents owe at least $1,000 in child support.
