El Paso, TX — Several thousand have seen Southwest University Park so far in the opening series, so Newschannel 9's Beau Bagley takes us on a tour around the ballpark, which has been called the shining star of Triple-A baseball. Tune in!

Southwest University Ballpark is the home of the El Paso Chihuahuas of the Pacific Coast League. The facility has an official capacity of 9,500 and will have around 7,000 fixed seats with the rest being berm and party deck standing room sections.
The design theme is based on the Union Depot and incorporate architectural details found in the region's historic buildings, such as the Kress Building in Downtown El Paso. It pays tribute to the city's baseball history through various forms of art.
