El Paso, TX (KDBC) —
El Paso Police have located the parents of a 3-year-old boy who was found at Washington Park Friday morning.
The parents were found this morning, but police said they cannot release details about the Lionel's parents.
Lionel is still under the custody of Child Protective Services.
El Paso Police need the community's assistance locating the guardians of a young boy who was found at 10:05 a.m. Friday morning at Washington Park, 200 Washington, in South El Paso.
The boy, who appears to be approximately 3-years-old was located by a passerby who saw the child alone in the park and stopped to check on him. The passerby called police and cared for the child until the EPPD Officer arrived.
Investigators have not been able to locate the child's family and ask anyone with information to please call police at 832-4400.
The boy is described as approximately 3-years-old with a possible first name of 'Lionel.' He only speaks Spanish and was wearing a yellow "Diego" shirt and blue jeans.
Child Protective Services will take custody of the boy pending location of the family.
