Dallas, TX (KDBC) — The Dallas Cowboys have released Defensive End DeMarcus Ware on the first day of free agency, according to multiple Dallas media reports.
Ware,31, refused to take a pay cut from $12.75 million dollars. The Cowboys made the move due to struggles with the salary cap.
The all-pro defensive player led the league twice in sacks and is the Cowboys all-time sack leader with 117 and fumbles forced with 32.
Ware has played all 10 seasons of his career with the Cowboys. He was drafted 11th overall from Troy University in the 2005 draft.
