WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE, NM — White Sands National Monument reopened Saturday after being closed for more than a week because of a drone crash.
Officials closed it after the drone from Holloman Air Force Base crashed in the monument on February 7.
It's unclear why the unmanned drone went down during the training mission.
White Sands was closed because of the training.
The park opened at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, but its official opening will be at 8 a.m. Sunday.
