El Paso, Texas (KDBC) — New Mexico is one step closer to banning sales of e-cigarettes for minors. The state's House of Representatives passed a proposal yesterday that would ban the sale of E-cigs to children under the age of 18.
Supporters say a law is needed because many consider e-cigs a safer alternative to tobacco, although the devices still use nicotine.
More than 20 states already have similar laws. The bill now moves to the senate.
