EL PASO (KDBC) — It's about a week before Valentine’s Day and many florist shops across El Paso are preparing for the big day.
Kern Place Florist on Mesa and Boston in West El Paso was already flooded with orders for Valentine’s Day.
It posted a welcoming sign for the more than 25,000 El Pasoans looking for jobs.
It's hiring temporary delivery drivers for Thursday and Friday, which is Valentine’s Day.
The owner said they do the same every holiday, but Valentine’s Day is their busiest day of the year.
"We are having a real tough economy so if you need some extra cash, then you can get pretty good money here delivering the flowers and you will have fun," said Yazmine Clement.
Drivers use their own cars to make deliveries.
Clement pays them for every arrangement they deliver, depending on the type of car they drive and the area where they're delivering flowers.
If you're interested in applying, you can visit the shop located 2430 North Mesa Street in West El Paso. They need a copy of your driver's license and insurance.
