EL PASO (KDBC) — The Super Bowl was fast approaching and many people were in the market for the perfect TV to watch the big game.
Best Buy said the time leading up to the game is the second busiest time of the year, behind the holidays.
Super Bowl Sunday is the one day of the year hundreds of millions of people will gather to watch the big game, performances and commercials. So you can bet the most important thing is the TV.
Best Buy General Manager Joseph Beben said before you go to the stores; you need to measure the size of the room where you'll be watching.
"Obviously, you want to go as big as you possibly can for the room, but at the same time, you don't want it so big that you see the pixels because you're not going to get the greatest picture as far as what you could have," said Beben.
There should be at least 7.5 feet between the TV and the couch.
For budget, he said they have TVs as much as $6,000 and as little as $100.
"You can get some value TV brands if your budget is a little but smaller," he said.
When it comes to features, Beben said check out the processor.
"The faster the processor, the less likely you are to see lag as far as a football showing," Beben said.
If you’re debating on a LED or LCD, Beben said it depends on what fits you and your home.
"If you have a real bright room, a lot of windows, LCD may be better for a family where LED is going to be brighter so if it's a darker room, LED might be better."
If you're looking for a bargain on a TV, you may want to wait until after the Super Bowl. Fatwallet.com said TVs and other electronics prices will drop even more during February clearances and just in time for March Madness.
