Las Cruces, NM (KDBC) — The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration are sponsoring a meeting to discuss the proposed replacement of the Interstate 25 (I-25)/ Missouri Bridge in Las Cruces.
Residents, landowners and all interested parties are encouraged to attend and provide comments, concerns, and suggestions regarding the project.
The meeting will be held Thursday, February 6 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Conlee Elementary located at 1701 Boston Drive in Las Cruces.
The proposed improvements intend to improve the structure, sight distance on southbound I-25, safety conditions, and visual aesthetics of the bridge.
Proposed improvements include replacing the existing bridge, constructing auxiliary lanes on I-25 between Lohman and University interchanges, and improvements to Missouri Avenue.
The proposed bridge would allow Missouri Avenue sufficient room to expand in the future.
