MESILLA, N.M. — The Town of Mesilla is knocking down their old gazebo in the plaza and building a new one.
The current structure has experienced flood damage, a termite infestation and the roof is not stable.
Mayor Nora Barraza said the town will use state funding from last year, while trying to salvage as much as they can to save on building materials.
The new gazebo will be identical with improvements to the electrical system.
The town hopes to begin the project at the start of the new year.
