Las Cruces, NM — The New Mexico State volleyball team wraps up a three-match road trip, Monday, Nov. 4 in Phoenix, Ariz. when it takes on Grand Canyon with first serve scheduled for 7p.m. (MT). The Aggies return to the Pan American Center to play Kansas City, Thursday, Nov. 7 and Chicago State, Saturday, Nov. 9. The New Mexico State University men’s basketball team opens the 2013-14 season with The Rainbow Classic hosted by Hawai’i, Thursday, Nov. 8 through Tuesday, Nov. 12. The Aggies play Western Michigan to start the year, Thursday at 11:30p.m. (MT) with radio coverage available on KGRT 103.9 FM. NM State faces Tennessee State, Friday, Nov. 9 at 8p.m. before taking on host team Hawai’i on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 3a.m. (MT). The game against Hawai’i will air on ESPN2 and both games can be heard on KGRT 103.9 FM with the Voice of the Aggies Jack Nixon.
The New Mexico State football team (1-8) hosts ACC power Boston College (4-4, 2-3), Saturday, Nov. 9. Kick off between these two teams is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. (MT). This week’s game against Boston College will be the first time a team from the Atlantic Coastal Conference has ever played in Aggie Memorial Stadium. It will be the third team from the ACC, NM State has ever faced on the grid iron. You can listen to all the action with Jay Sanderson and color analyst Preston Williams beginning at 5 p.m. on KGRT 104 FM. Also catch the action in Spanish with Bob Sherman and Sal Betancourt on Vista 98.7 FM. The game will be televised on Aggie Vision, as play-by-play man Jeff Matthews and color analyst Danny Knee called all the action from Aggie Memorial Stadium.
Although the NM State Aggies are out of contention for the 2013 WAC Tournament, the championship will be held at the NM State Soccer Complex Nov. 8 and 10. The No. 8 ranked NM State Equestrian team will host its final competitions of the fall season this weekend, Nov. 8-9 at the NM State Equestrian Center. The Aggies face off against TCU on Friday beginning at 9 a.m. and take on South Dakota State at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Admission is free. The Aggies are coming into the weekend with a four match winning streak and a 6-1 overall record.
