LAS CRUCES, N.M. — A fundraiser this weekend to build a motorplex for motorcyclists in Las Cruces aims to raise money to get the project off the ground.
It was the dream of a 25-year-old motorcyclist Drew Jaramillo, who passed away in a motorcycle crash in March, to build the motorplex and since then his loved ones have been working to make that dream a reality.
Drew's Motorplex Foundation is hosting a two-day fundraiser Saturday and Sunday to raise money and buy land for the motorplex just outside the city.
The event kicks off Saturday with a car show, a full slate of boxing matches along with food and music all day.
On Sunday the group will have a memorial bike run in honor of riders who have passed away.
The event is at the Dream Center near Valley and Picacho and tickets are on sale at all Pic-Quick locations.
When: October 26th - 27th
Where: The Dream Center 1400 6th St.
