El Paso Police Department have arrested 30-year-old Jesus Ortega in connection with an attack with a box cutter inside Tricky Falls Nightclub on Tuesday night.
The attack occurred around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday inside the club, while concert-goers were enjoying a concert by metal bands Deicide, Broken Hope, Disgorge and Necronomicon.
Officers arrived on the scene and located three men, ages 24 to 39, with apparent cuts to their heads, neck and chest. Officers also learned that staff from Tricky Falls detained Ortega and he was turned over to officers inside of the venue.
Police are unsure what led to the attacks, other than Ortega being involved in a scuffle inside the bar moments before he pulled out the box cutter and began slashing the victims. All three victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment and all are expected to survive.
Ortega was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon as well as multiple outstanding traffic warrants. His bonds totaled $150,686.03.
