Lewisburg, P.A. (KDBC) — It appears as if former El Paso Superintendent Lorenzo Garcia will be getting out of prison sooner than expected.
He was sentenced back in the fall of 2012 to serve three and a half years in the Lewisburg USP, yet according to Federal Bureau of Prisons records, his expected release date is set for much earlier than that, on Nov. 1, 2014.
Local 4 News made phone calls to the U.S. Attorney's public information office, and to Garcia's attorney, Ray Velarde, to find out why his sentence was shortened.
Local 4 News has not received any return calls.
