Today (Monday) President Barack Obama and the First Lady will travel to New York City for the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The president will host the world's leaders for a dinner Monday night, ahead of his much anticipated speech to the UN Tuesday.
This year's meeting is expected to focus on U.S. efforts to disarm Syria's chemical weapons and Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations. It will also mark the first time President Obama has had an opportunity to greet the new Iranian president. Representatives from nearly 200 countries will step up to the global stage to tell the world what they want. The session officially starts Tuesday.
