El Paso, TX (KDBC) — Three organizations are teaming up for a national "Stand-Down Day".
The Texas Army National Guard, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the United American Organization will host this event in El Paso.
Stand-downs are events that provide services to homeless veterans such as food, clothing, health screenings and V.A. social security benefits counseling.
The event will begin at 7 a.m. Friday morning at the New Armory Reserve Center on Montana Ave.
