El Paso, TX — Time Warner Cable Launches Longhorn Network University of Texas fans will receive Longhorn Network today in time for college football season opener
On the eve of the 2013-14 University of Texas football season, ESPN and Time Warner Cable have announced that Longhorn Network is now available to Time Warner Cable video subscribers in Texas. Longhorn Network is the 24/7 channel devoted to UT athletics and academics as well as cultural programming from in and around the greater Austin community.
Longhorn Network launches today for Time Warner Cable video customers in time for kick off against New Mexico State on Saturday, Aug. 31, at 7 p.m. CT live from Darrell K. Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium. The network is available for Time Warner Cable video customers in Texas on its expanded basic cable service. Longhorn Network is available in the greater Austin area on channel 1593 in HD and channel 444 in SD.

Financial terms and other details of the agreement were not disclosed.
Other exclusive Longhorn Network programming includes Ole Miss on Sept. 14 and Kansas on Nov. 2, plus exclusive pre and post-game coverage of all Texas football games on Texas GameDay and Texas GameDay Final.
Longhorn Network also provides unprecedented access to the football team with Texas All Access. Live event coverage of men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, rowing, track and field and golf, as well as select NCAA events featuring Texas round out the robust program schedule.
