Las Cruces, NM (KDBC) — The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will hold a public information meeting to discuss a bridge replacement project (CN 2100950) for the existing bridge on N.M. 13 at mile marker 4.5 over Eagle Draw.
The meeting will be held Thursday, August 29th at the Penasco School at 6pm.
An Open House will be held from 5:30 pm. to 6pm.
The existing structure has been removed. The proposed structure is a two span pre-cast concrete bridge, using pre-fabricated deck panels and post-tensioned girders.
The Department has a full closure in effect on N.M. 13 from mile marker 4.4 to 4.8 with a detour route along U.S. 82 & U.S. 285 which will remain in place until the completion of the project.
In addition, a low water crossing for local traffic will be constructed to reduce inconvenience for local traffic.
The project has experienced delays in the pre-cast elements of the bridge super-structure.
The project is scheduled for completion by October 31th, 2013.
