El Paso, TX (KDBC) — Six Mexican travel writers made their way into the Sun City for a special tour.
Organized by the Texas Tourism office and its Mexico agency, the Mexico media familiarization tour of the Big Bend Region began in the Midland-Odessa area, then moved on to Marfa, Lajitas, Marathon, and will wrap in El Paso.
Members of the El Paso CVB escorted reporters, journalists and photographers on a guided tour of downtown El Paso.
The Plaza Theatre, El Paso Museum of Art, El Paso Museum of History and the Union Plaza Entertainment District are a few attractions they explored.
"We are excited to partner with the state tourism office on this familiarization tour and are definitely looking forward to cultivating new and lasting relationships with visiting media," said Bill Blaziek, General Manager of the El Paso Convention and Visitors Bureau.
