El Paso, TX (KDBC) — The FBI identified the substance that was found in an envelope at a Northeast El Paso business as non-hazardous. Investigators determined the white powdery substance was wall plaster.
The El Paso Fire Department's HazMat team responded to Datamark, a mail processing facility, on Friday afternoon after someone opened an envelope with the white powder.
Officials said four employees came in contact with the substance and two people reported an itchy face and itchy hands. One person was taken to the hospital.
The FBI continues to investigate the incident.
