"this area is just growing it's booming there's development of houses going up so we have to make sure it's one of our challenges that we have is keeping up with the growth in our school district" Espinoza said.
The new schools are fully equipped with the latest technology, advanced security systems and brand new classrooms.
"They’re going to get a quality education they're going to get an effective teacher in their classroom; they're going to get an effective leader" SISD superintendent added.
Some of the students who will be attending the new middle school are excited about the multi-million dollar energy efficient facility, and the new school year.
"I think it's pretty cool yeah, to get a fresh start, I think like you don't have to worry about anything else people remembering you, I'm pretty excited that it's a new school" Alejandra Morales concluded.
Even though Socorro just opened three new schools the new elementary is already over capacity the superintendent says that those students who didn't get a chance to enroll in the new schools will be assigned to other nearby schools...
