Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano is stepping down. Napolitano is leaving her job as head of the Department of Homeland Security for the job of president of the University of California.
In a statement released today (Friday) she calls her job with DHS, "The highlight of (her) professional career."
President Obama issued a statement, too, thanking Napolitano for her service and wishing her luck in the future. She's leaving DHS in September.
