EL PASO (KDBC) — A couple of volunteers with the El Paso Red Cross have been in Arizona since Friday night lending a hand to the many families impacted by a wildfire.
On Sunday, they're filling up totes with toiletries, ice and other necessities for families.
The community will hold a memorial service on Tuesday for the 19 firefighters killed battling the blaze last Sunday.
Volunteer Maria Sanchez said they'll be handing out water and snacks to the thousands of people expected to attend.
She said at least 45 Red Cross chapters from across the country are also helping.
