International cycling officials are rejecting the latest claims by disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong. On the eve of the 100th Tour De France, Armstrong contends it's impossible to win the top cycling race in the world without doping.
Armstrong's comments were published in the French newspaper Le Monde today (friday) but the head of the International Cycling Union, Pat Mcquaid says the comments are "very sad" and "categorically" wrong. Mcquaid says those comments don't help the sport of cycling.
He also says the culture within cycling has changed since Armstrong's days and that it's now possible to win without doping.
