El Paso, TX (KDBC) — One man is dead following an overnight crash in Northeast El Paso Tuesday.
El Paso Police responded to the crash at 2:49 a.m. on Deer Ave. near Cross St. According to police, the driver was traveling west on Deer when he lost control and struck a utility pole. The dark colored sedan ended up wrapped around the pole. The driver died at the scene.
Special Traffic Investigators believe speed is a factor in the crash.
The driver has not been identified. Police only said he is a man, but have also not determined an age.
There were no passengers in the car, and no other cars involved.
This is the fourth traffic death on El Paso roads since Friday, and the 23rd traffic death of 2013, compared to 23 at the same time last year.
