New Mexico (KTSM) — In New Mexico, the Tres Lagunas Fire continues to burn.
The fire burning north of Pecos, New Mexico, is now 34% contained and has consumed 10,040 acres.
Crews took advantage of Thursday’s wet weather and continued to construct direct hand lines and dozer lines to the most active fire areas which include the Northwest corner of Holy Ghost Canyon.
Direct hand lines were constructed around the Southeast spot fires located West of Forest Rd. 92.
As we reported, the blaze began on May 30th because of a downed power line.
