El Paso, TX (KDBC) — Congressman Beto O'Rourke (TX-16) testified before the House Armed Services Committee to express his continued support for Fort Bliss, and the construction of the William Beaumont Medical Center.
"The El Paso community depends on its relationship with Fort Bliss and we have heavily invested in providing an excellent quality of life for service members and their families." said Congressman O'Rourke.
The slated construction of the William Beaumont Medical Center is expected to provide soldiers and their families with world class health care. It will also create more than 3,000 civilian and contractor jobs in the borderland.
Congressman O'Rourke also asked the committee to restore funding to the Military Tuition Assistance program for 2014.
